Katherina Petrou

Vice President

Katarina Petrou leads the Petrou Lab at the School of Life Sciences, investigating how microalgae adapt to environmental change. Her research integrates cell physiology, photobiology, and biochemistry to understand climate-driven impacts on marine ecosystems.

Cecilia Biancacci

Secretary

Cecilia is a seaweed aquaculture scientist at Cawthron’s Aquaculture group with 10 years of experience in seaweed cultivation, physiology, and integrated multitrophic aquaculture. Her expertise spans nursery to grow-out, harvesting, processing, and biochemical analysis.
